InnoDB in Cloud Web Hosting
Any open-source script-based web application that requires InnoDB will run flawlessly on our leading-edge cloud platform and the MySQL database storage engine comes with all our cloud web hosting packages. Whenever you create a MySQL database manually or our app installer creates one automatically and an app installation is initiated, the engine that the database in question will make use of will be selected in accordance with the app’s prerequisites without having to modify any setting in your shared account. InnoDB will be selected automatically for any app that requires this specific engine and you will be able to take advantage of its full capacity. We will store daily backups of your content, so in case you unintentionally erase a MySQL database that is important to you or you overwrite certain parts of it, we’ll be able to restore your database the way it was just a couple of hours earlier.
InnoDB in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can activate a script-driven web application that requires InnoDB with any of our semi-dedicated server packages, as all the accounts are set up on our advanced cloud platform where the MySQL database storage engine is installed. A new database can be set up in two different ways – manually from the Database Manager section of the Hepsia website hosting Control Panel, or automatically – in case you use our 1-click application installer. Either way, the needed engine will be chosen automatically the moment the app’s installation starts, so you will not need to update anything manually, regardless of whether the app needs InnoDB or the more regularly used MyISAM. In addition, we’ll always be able to recover any of your databases if you accidentally delete one, as we create several database backups every day, each of which is kept for 7 days.
InnoDB in Dedicated Servers
If you obtain a new dedicated server, you will be able to select any of the three hosting Control Panels that we offer – DirectAdmin, Hepsia and cPanel. Each server ordered with Hepsia comes with InnoDB pre-installed, so you will not have to enable this MySQL storage engine manually to be able to manage script-powered applications that require it. InnoDB is used for scalable applications and since a dedicated server will offer you all the resources that you need in order to run large-size Internet sites, it’s rather possible that you’ll resort to InnoDB. You’ll be able to use other engines as well, so in case a particular app requires MyISAM rather than InnoDB, you won’t need to deal with any impediment while using it. The engine that will be used will be automatically recognized the moment the app installation procedure starts, so you will not need to edit any settings manually at any point.
