A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud web hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel offers quite a lot of functions, but it’s really intuitive, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will only have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the concrete email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled without any effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a small logo handily situated directly next to each one of them. With just a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature using the contextual menu that will surface. If any of the prerequisites for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will inform you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
